Artificial Intelligence
While my initial experience with AI involved using tools like ChatGPT for text assistance and Midjourney for client visuals, the past few months have been a significant eye-opener. I've developed a deep proficiency with AI app builders, especially Figma Make, leveraging it not only for rapid prototyping and ideation, but for complete visual design and front-end code generation for new and existing applications. I've been genuinely impressed by the high-quality design and code output achievable through strategic prompting. As a traditional designer with years of pixel-perfect craftsmanship, this was initially surprising, but I have wholeheartedly embraced it. I now effectively combine these powerful AI capabilities with my command of traditional design tools, offering companies a skilled resource on legacy systems as well as that new fangled tech they call AI, we have to keep up on it!
Explore my latest project. This functional app prototype was created in approximately 20/30 hours using only Figma Make and strategic prompting. With zero manual design, It brings to life an idea I've had for a while; A tool that makes it esasy for shoppers who frequent multiple stores, with the option to shop at each store or use the shop assistant. Lots of unique features on this app, it replaces all the separate apps you'd have to use saving time and money all explained in the supposting docs dropdown in top left. While not fully flushed out, viable idea just yet, for now, it mainly shows the endless possibilities of what can be done in a short amount of time with AI tools.
Other AI projects I'm working on are below, these are works in progress...
DeepCheck is an AI-powered media authentication tool designed to help users determine whether video or audio content has been artificially generated or manipulated. Using advanced detection algorithms, the app provides a real-time "Authenticity Score" that assigns a probability percentage to media content, displayed through an intuitive color-coded system: red indicates high likelihood of AI generation, green signals authentic content, and amber suggests uncertainty requiring further analysis. The application features dual-mode functionality—Video Mode uses your device's camera to analyze screens displaying video content, while Audio Mode leverages the microphone to examine sound files—making it a versatile solution for verifying media in an age where deepfakes and AI-generated content are increasingly prevalent. With detailed breakdown reports, segmented capture analysis, and secure local history storage, DeepCheck empowers users to make informed decisions about the authenticity of digital media they encounter.
The Pino Suarez Guide is a mobile-first web application designed to help tourists and new residents confidently navigate the bustling Mercado Municipal "José María Pino Suárez" in Mazatlán, Mexico. The app tackles the challenge of getting lost in this chaotic traditional market by providing intelligent product search, smart shopping lists with optimized vendor routes, an interactive map based on the actual market floor plan, and detailed vendor profiles complete with payment options and stall numbers. A comprehensive language helper features 135+ essential Spanish phrases organized into categories like greetings, market shopping, and bargaining, all enhanced with text-to-speech functionality using an authentic Mexican Spanish voice. The entire application is fully internationalized across 5 languages and wrapped in a professional tropical design theme that reflects Mazatlán's coastal beauty, with cyan/blue gradients for navigation and warm orange/amber accents for shopping actions, all contained within a realistic phone frame for an authentic mobile experience.
